Bring the performance. Choose the character. Transfer the movement.
Ruwana Motion transfers movement and performance from a source video to a character image. Start with a real performance, choose the character that should carry it, and turn the source movement into a new character-driven motion result.
Source performance first. Character image second. Motion follows the performance instead of inventing a new shot from scratch.
Three source performances. Three different kinds of movement.
These are permanent source performances from the Ruwana Motion Library. They show the kind of movement Motion can use as the driving performance before it is transferred to a character image.
Complex action and body control
A kata-style full-body performance gives Motion a clear source for stance changes, body orientation, timing and coordinated movement.

Source performance can also be about expression, attitude and controlled character behavior rather than large full-body action.
11s Motion Library sourceComic and character-driven motion
Motion is not limited to realistic fashion movement. A source can carry exaggerated, playful or stylized performance into a suitable character image.
11s Motion Library sourceExisting performance becomes the movement direction.
Motion is built for source-driven movement. The source video carries the performance — body action, timing, orientation and the movement already present in the clip — while the character image defines who or what performs it.
The character can be a Ruwana Virtual Model, a saved Custom Model or another suitable character image. An optional performance direction can refine attitude, expression and natural material behavior without replacing the source movement.
Motion starts from movement you already have.
The workflow stays intentionally simple because the performance source already contains most of the motion direction.
Add a Motion Source
Upload a source performance, choose one from History, or start with a permanent source from the Motion Library.
Add the Character Image
Choose the person, virtual model, Custom Model or stylized character that should carry the performance.
Choose the priority
Favor the source video when complex movement matters most, or favor the character image when preserving its composition is more important.
Generate Motion
Ruwana derives duration from the real source video and produces the character-driven motion result. Source sound can be retained when useful.
Choose what Motion should follow most closely.
The same character image can behave differently depending on whether movement fidelity or image composition is the stronger priority.
Best when movement complexity matters
Use the source performance as the stronger orientation reference for full-body motion, direction changes, dynamic poses and more complex actions.
Best when composition matters more
Use the character image as the stronger visual reference when the original framing, character presentation or image composition should remain cleaner.
Motion and Video solve different production jobs.
Both create moving media, but they start from different kinds of direction.
Transfer an existing performance
Start with a source video containing the movement you want. Motion transfers that performance to a character image. It is the better choice when the action already exists and should drive the result.
Create a directed moving shot
Start from text direction or an image and build the shot with Video controls such as Start and End Frames, Bind, Multi-Shot, camera direction and audio. Explore Ruwana Video.
Use Motion wherever performance is the thing you need to preserve.
Full-body action
Transfer coordinated movement, stance changes, turns and dynamic body performance.
Fashion movement
Carry walks, posture, gestures and editorial performance into a selected model or character identity.
Expression
Use source-driven facial attitude and smaller performance choices when large movement is not the goal.
Stylized characters
Apply playful, exaggerated or character-led source performance to suitable non-photographic identities.
Virtual talent
Use Ruwana Virtual Models or saved Custom Models as recurring character identities across production workflows.
Sound continuity
Keep the source audio when it belongs to the performance, or produce the Motion result without it when sound is handled separately.
Motion is also available for programmatic production.
Ruwana Platform exposes Motion through the developer API for teams that need source-performance transfer inside products, services or automated creative pipelines. Platform production remains separate from the Studio interface and uses temporary API media delivery.
Bring the performance. Choose the character. Transfer the movement.
Ruwana Motion gives production teams a direct way to reuse existing movement across Virtual Models, Custom Models and other character images without turning the job into a new video shot from scratch.
