Licensing

Commercial licensing — clear usage rights for virtual model work.

Ruwana offers commercial licenses per model, designed for real brand usage: websites, e-commerce, ads, social, PR, and campaigns. Each license is issued as a downloadable PDF for your records.

Simple rule: you can generate visuals anytime, but commercial publishing is covered when a license is active for the selected model.

Proprietary virtual models

Ruwana Studio virtual models are proprietary assets and are represented exclusively by Ruwana Studio. A commercial license grants usage rights for generated outputs and does not transfer ownership of the model’s identity, likeness, name, portfolio, voice, or underlying rights.

The license covers commercial publishing of outputs — it does not permit selling, sublicensing, packaging, or redistributing the model as a reusable resource (e.g., “model pack”, dataset, preset, API access, marketplace listing), operating the model as an influencer/vlogger persona, or implying the model is a real person or a talent represented by your brand.

What the license is

A commercial license grants the right to publish and use outputs created with a specific Ruwana virtual model for brand and business purposes (marketing, sales, editorial, PR).

Licenses are per model, issued to your account, and delivered as a PDF certificate (English, worldwide scope). The standard term is 12 months from issuance unless stated otherwise in your document.

This page is a practical summary. The PDF license and Terms remain the authoritative documents.

What a commercial license covers

A standard license is intended to remove ambiguity for marketing teams. It generally covers brand usage of Ruwana outputs across common channels.

Digital publishing

Websites, e-commerce, product pages, newsletters, and social channels (organic + paid).

Advertising & campaigns

Ads, banners, campaign creatives, lookbooks, and launch assets used in brand marketing.

Brand collateral

Pitch decks, PR materials, presentations, and internal brand assets used for business communication.

Scope

Licenses are issued per model. If you use multiple models commercially, each model needs an active license. Your PDF document states the official scope and term.

What it does not cover

  • Trademark ownership: the license grants usage rights for outputs; it does not register trademarks or protect brand marks.
  • Illegal or deceptive use: no impersonation, misinformation, or misleading identity claims about real people.
  • Third-party rights: you must have rights to any uploaded references (photos, logos, products, designs).
  • Restricted content: anything prohibited by the platform Terms and applicable law.
  • No model resale/redistribution: you may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute any Ruwana virtual model identity as a standalone resource.
  • No “public persona” use: you may not operate a model as an influencer/vlogger identity, or present the model as a real person.
Note

This page is informational and not legal advice. The Terms and your issued PDF license govern. If your campaign has special requirements, consult legal counsel.
